Quilt exhibit to open at Bay School Community Arts Center
A quilt exhibit will be on display from Monday, Feb. 11 through Friday, Feb. 22 at the Bay School Community Arts Center.
According to an announcement from the center, "the Bay Quilters of Mathews will display an exhibit of quilts and quilting accessories. The Bay Quilters have a membership of 25 people and meet twice a month. Some of the items on exhibit will be for sale. Other local quilters have also been invited to participate. Local artist Dorothy Fagan will exhibit and sell her fabric squares. The fabric squares are inspired by her original paintings."
Bay School Community Arts Center is located at 279 Main St., Mathews.
The Bay School Community Arts Center is a nonprofit organization that offers 130 art classes to the public each year. The center has a gallery, supply store, lending library and classrooms. The director is Debbie Brown. The center is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
