VDOT completes Hurricane Irene debris removal
The Virginia Department of Transportation has completed debris removal in seven Hampton Roads counties.
VDOT workers and contractor crews removed 224,849 cubic yards of vegetative debris over 2,611 miles of state roads in Greensville, James City, Isle of Wight, Southampton, Surry, Sussex, and York counties.
Homeowners who require additional debris removal should contact their county offices.
